I want to save money in regards to the television. I don't watch television, but my father does and the kids that come over do as well. What should I do to save money? Dish Network or DirecTV? Purchase DVD's for the kids to watch when they come over? I want to provide entertainment for everyone while I work on college work and business-related issues that I must deal with. So, what do you do to save money? Pay-per-view is off-limits. What about TIVO and DVRs? I want to be "frugal" in this area. Please help me in this regards. Thank you in advance.|||Dish network can be very cheap if you get the basic package. Also, you can see if any of the companies are giving out free months of service for joining. You can hop between companies sometimes for as long as 6 months paying almost nothing. Sounds like stealing, but think about how much more they charge then what it's actually worth.|||COMCAST is the worst.
i have dish network at home.. and its cheap enough for me and has like 300 channels.
dont buy TIVO is a freaking rip off!! u pay 12 buck / month + buying the machine. just get one from dish network for like 5 dollars with DVR. if u have HD i think is like extra 10 dollars
use veriozn DSL and VOIP phone save u more money|||What about buying a free view box? That way you only have to pay between 30-60 pound and then that's all.|||Try to seel ur TV, so that u can save ur money|||hey i made my own package when it came 2 cable and end up paying 13 dollars a month and i had 36 channels|||if you got a panasat ,it is fta,you could get all the local channels, but in stead of one fox you could get several channels, say like 2-3 fox, cbs, nbc, and all the other free air channels about 40 of them, just no starz, hbo, encore, showtime, channels like that, radio shack sells the panasat, but cheaper on ebay, you will also need a dish network satelite with a panasat|||Always switch off ur TV from ur main switch.
