I know the usual like coupons, etc... Today I got a mini sewing machine so I could fix my couch cushion covers verses buying a new couch. Spent $15 and saved a couch where the seams where splitting LOL. What other things have you done to save money beyond the normal ways?|||i leave my purse at home when i go out , lol .
Ive borrowed my mothers sewing machine ( i think it might be a life time borrowing as she doesnt use it lol ) and make toys and things for my son from other house hold things that would of been thrown away .
Last week i made him some pants and long sleve top that he could wear when he did painting and other messy things , in stead of buying him and art apron .
My partner was going to throw out 2 old tops of his so i used them as my fabric . Easy.|||stay at home. if you don't leave the house you cannot spend money|||drink water. a lot. i call it the water diet, its good for your health. cutting back and getting cheap stuff really doesnt help. what you do is focus on something you really want and sacrifice other things to get it. im always sacrificing cause i always want something. but i get it. after a while i take a break. then its back to sacrificing.|||-buy used more than new
-cook at home
-make homemade laundry soap
-hang dry and/or hand wash clothes
-have a garden
-take care of myself (it saves on future medical bills)
-rent books from the library rather than buy them
-cancel cable
-plan meals ahead of time
There are a TON a tips on these websites.|||I know of a club where you pay a small fee but there's really great coupons there. I just read my friends FB page, she said she just saved almost $30 just in one week! Email me for details because people here think they're god because there's a "flag" option. :D
