What is a great way to save money at the eye doctor?

Going to the eye doctor is so expensive if you don't have insurance! Any tips on how to save money when getting your glasses and contacts?|||How important are your eyes??? I'm guessing you find them pretty important. You get what you pay for. I'd suggest finding a good doctor that cares about maintaining the health of your eyes and ask him/her for suggestions that could decrease cost without compromising your ocular health/vision.|||go to the ones that you see were advertised as cheap on commercials|||get your perscription and use it to buy the frames online|||1) Take your old glasses to an optician and ask him to give you the numbers.

2) Ask him to explain astigmatism and ask him if you have any of it. Try to get him to take your pd.

3) Ask him what size contacts might be good for you.

4) Write yourself a prescription.

5) Order some contacts over the internet.

6) Look for the cheapest frame or go to the Good Will and find something that fits or order over the internet.

7) Have the glasses made up.

8) Go back to the original optometrist for a free adjustment.

9) Go back and complain.
